    Large estate boulders are the practical and affordable alternative to finding, moving and installing heavy, real boulders on which to mount a large plaque for dedications and memorials or to honor special events or achievements, donors, occasions at a university, golf course, park or private residence.

    They are hollow and open at the bottom so they only weigh 400-500 lbs., but are exact replicas of real 2 1/2-ton boulders. They are onstructed of construction-grade cast stone to resist 9,000 psi of pressure and a variety of climates with minimal maintenance. Perfect for a natural outdoor setting, entry way, flag pole dedication or to mount directional or tee signs for golf courses and resorts.

    Availability Notes: If you have a ceremony scheduled and you need a plaque for your rock, tree or boulder before the normal 5-6 week turnaround time - your memorial can ship with a temporary laminated plaque replica in as little as 2-3 business days (shipping takes another 5-7 days). Once the original plaque is completed by the foundry about 4-5 weeks later, it can be shipped separately with epoxy adhesive for you to install on your memorial. If you are in a rush and need a replica plaque now, or need the bronze plaque rushed, please make the appropriate choice above.

    What size urn do I need?

    One pound of body weight will yield just less than 1 cubic inch of ash. Assume for shopping purposes that: 1 pound body weight = 1 cubic inch ash.

    Cremation urn item descriptions list the size of the urn in Cubic Inches. If you know the weight of the deceased - then you know the size of the urn you need. Approx Weight = Approx Size.

    Easy example: A cremated 100 pound person will yield almost 100 cubic inches of ashes. So, if 1 pound = 1 cubic inch then this person would need an urn that is approximately 90-100 cubic inches or larger.
