Our Eco Water Burial Biodegradable Cremation Urn is a beautiful way for families to spread ashes of a loved one in a water burial on the ocean, river or lake with dignity and ease. Our Eco Water Urn comes to you packaged in a beautiful bamboo case which serves to protect the water urn while it is stored or transported. It's also a wonderful way to display during the ceremony in a beautiful and dignified manner. The urn and container are made of plant derived materials which gives them a unique and consistent look and performance. The urn itself, when placed upright in the water, will float like a buoy for upwards of two minutes depending on the weather and water conditions, allowing time for ceremonial viewing of the urn before it breaks down and completely releases the cremains into the water.

Our Eco Water Urn can be used with up to one set of cremated remains or just a portion. Once the cremains are transferred in, check to see if the urn is at least about half full. If it is less than half full, simply add some sand from the beach/shore or fine pebbles until the urn is about 50 to 60 percent full to achieve the best upright floating positioning. Another unique feature of this urn is that it allows family members to write special notes to their loved one on the urn with a regular marker.

I love the urn. It is so much bigger than I thought. I bought them because they are biodegradable, I can put it in the ocean and not harm wildlife, and you can fly with them with appropriate paperwork. Love the bamboo.

Extremely happy with the product

I purchased two urns for the final disposal of my parents' ashes. The bamboo carriers are nice and lightweight. The inside urns are sturdy and attractive white cardboard composite with removable lids. There are no inner bags - I transferred the ashes directly into the white inner container. I carried them (with the legal paperwork) on a flight to the state where we wanted to place them. The airlines have to X-ray them specially and conduct a chemical test on the outside, but the process went very smoothly.

We put the containers (minus the bamboo covers) into a small private lake at about a 15 foot depth. My father's urn was heavier and sank immediately; my mother's took about 3 minutes for the container to absorb enough water to sink (it was just about half full). It was perfect timing for what we had planned and was a dignified and appropriate way to place ashes in a body of water.

I'm extremely happy with the product and would definitely recommend it.
