Is this legal to use in all states? I know many states don't allow scattering cremains, so I am concerned about the legality of planting.

To be safe, please touch base with your town but in my 15 years of providing urns I've never heard of a municipality not allowing ashes to be used as part of the soil for planting a tree.

    What a Fantastic Choice
The whole concept fascinates me especially considering how often we hear "ashes to ashes, dust to dust," in relation to internment of the remains of a loved one. This is something I can back wholeheartedly. My brother's life can be remembered in a new form rather than his remains tucked away somewhere to be forgotten. In one sense, using this urn allows my brother's body to come full circle.
Pros1. The economics of the product as well as all associated costs of cremation and internment. 2. The ease of use. I downloaded the instructions for planting the seeds and how to plant the urn from mainelyurns.com website and found them easy to follow, especially for DIY type guy like myself. 3. I am looking forward to watching the tree grow and to enjoy the beauty it will provide in the future.
ConsNone that I can think of.
