Need Date on Checkout Page
We ask our customers for a “need date” on the shipping page of our online checkout and when taking phone orders. We do this for a number of reasons:
A. To ensure packages arrive by the day you actually need them
B. To ensure you selected the correct shipping option
C. So we can prioritize orders if needed (example: personalize and ship an expedited order that needs to be at a memorial service before a shipping non-rush order with no "need date")
D. In our business items can not arrive a day late. The need date is our checks and balances to make sure items are shipped using the right shipping service.
--If you select a shipping option that does not satisfy the need date you provided we will attempt to contact you via email and phone before shipping your order. If we are unable to contact you we reserve the right to ship your order using an expedited service and charge you for the expedited service in order to meet the need date you provided.--
Example:
- You order a cremation urn online today.
- While doing so you choose “US Regular Ground Free Shipping 3-7 Business Days” and enter a need date that is only 3 days from now
- We attempt to contact you via email and phone to tell you that Ground Shipping will not satisfy your need date and that you need to use 2-Day Air Shipping.
- We don’t hear back from you.
- We ship your item 2-Day Air and charge you accordingly to ensure your need date was met.
We sell very, very sensitive items and most need to be received by a certain day. We do not take the chance of having an order delivered a day late. That would be terrible. We completely understand that some customers are not in the right frame of mind when making such a sensitive purchase. Please know we are looking out for our customers every step of the way.

It’s an elegant urn. Affordably priced with engraving that was done on the same day I ordered it. Customer service was very helpful, and the urn was delivered the very next day. ... read more

One pound of body weight will yield just less than 1 cubic inch of ash. Assume for shopping purposes that: 1 pound body weight = 1 cubic inch ash.
Cremation urn item descriptions list the size of the urn in Cubic Inches. If you know the weight of the deceased - then you know the size of the urn you need. Approx Weight = Approx Size.
Easy example: A cremated 100 pound person will yield almost 100 cubic inches of ashes. So, if 1 pound = 1 cubic inch then this person would need an urn that is approximately 90-100 cubic inches or larger.
Keepsake Jewelry is designed to hold a trace amount of ashes, similar to the size of the head of a sewing pin.
